Getting my first daughter was super easy. Tried for one month and woala, there she is. Now my beautiful princess is 3 and she wants a baby sister so we took her orders. But we tried for one whole year and nothing happened. For the first time, I start to get anxious. (Never tell people you are trying to have a baby!!! Lesson well learned). I bought some ovulation test stripes. Used them occasionally and they didn't really help. I need something to discipline myself so I got this monitor. It is expensive, with those additional cost for test sticks. But it accurately tells me what stage my body is and keeps me testing everyday. And I got pregnant during the second tested period. Yeah~~~ I've also tested using the Combo Pack 40 (LH) Ovulation Tests + 10 Early Detection (HCG) Pregnancy Test Strip Pack by DMI. It gives consistent results as this monitor and I used them to test during the day when this Clearblue monitor showed the highest level. So, if you can discipline yourself and test everyday at the same time and record the results yourself, you may try the cheaper tests first.
I first have to say that I was hesistant in making such a costly purchase. I decided that I could always sell it on ebay when I was done with it so I went ahead and bought it last month. I only used it for one month and just found out this evening that we are expecting!!!! I feel that the main difference with this machine is that it detects estrogen and lets you know this so you can try sooner than you would normally. We started focusing our efforts as soon as the machine detected high days, which I can say we have not done in the past. This may have made the difference for us. We baby danced also on another high day and one peak day. We also used preseed and I began taking vitamin b6 this past month. If you are hesistant I would say give it a try- you can always sell it and make your money back from it. Good Luck to all who are on this TTC journey!!!!
My husband and I decided to officially start trying to conceive in April of this year, and after reading all of the positive reviews, I bought this monitor. Coming off of the pill had made my cycles pretty irregular and I really didn't have any idea about when ovulation was happening. During the first month, the monitor was just getting to know my cycle, and I think our timing was a little bit off, so we didn't conceive. However, timing worked perfectly during the second month and now I am in my 12th week of pregnancy. The time window in the morning was never a problem, the monitor is easy to read, and though it can seem like an expensive investment, it seems like a such a small price to pay in exchange for quality, accuracy and the relief of knowing exactly what's happening with your cycle.
We were trying to conceive for 9 months when I bought this monitor. I was starting to think something was wrong with me. Worked like a charm! I got pregnant the 2nd month I used it. I was ovulating on day 21 then day 19. Whatever happened to day 14? So many women ovulate late or early and I would have never know without the monitor. Well worth the money ladies! I tell all my friends about it, you should buy it.
I promised I would write a review if the monitor helped me conceive. It worked the first time my husband and I TTC'ed. I am 33 with 29-35 day cycles. I used the monitor one month so it would get to know my cycle. Then the second month we actually tried when the monitor said peak fertility, and I got pregnant! It was really easy peeing on the sticks every morning and great knowing where you really where in your cycle. The charting technique seemed too much of a hassle, and this monitor does it for you. I am recommending it to everyone ready to have a baby.
